Make Your Event Part of Glasgow’s Christmas Calendar
This Christmas, we’re working together to showcase Glasgow’s fantastic festive offering.
Our goal is to drive footfall into the city, and help residents and visitors discover everything happening across Glasgow.
To support this, Destination Glasgow is encouraging businesses, venues and community groups to add their festive events and experiences to Data Thistle, the live events data platform. Events submitted will automatically appear on the People Make Glasgow Christmas website, helping to increase visibility and make it easier for audiences to find festive activities taking place throughout the season.

- St Enoch Square Winter Wonderland – from 6 November
- Princes Square Christmas Lighting – from 15 November
- Winter Wonders City Centre Christmas Lighting – from 19 November
- Good Times Christmas Village – from 19 November
- Glasgow Green Winter Wonderland – from 20 November
- Blessing of the Crib – 2 December
- Santa Dash – 6 December
The Glasgow’s Christmas teaser campaign launched across People Make Glasgow social media channels on 14 October, giving audiences an early taste of the festive season ahead.
The full marketing campaign launches from the week commencing 9 November and will be supported by a multi-channel programme including digital advertising, billboard advertising, radio, print, social media and PR activity, helping to drive awareness and encourage visits to the city centre throughout the festive period.
