The project will begin with a sweep of every street within the BID boundary, logging the condition of public and trade waste bins, litter levels, vacant units, and anything else negatively affects the overall look and feel of the area.
Alongside that, a set of fixed monitoring sites will be established, with six to eight high-footfall locations tracked across four time windows: early morning, commuter hours, daytime and evening to create a picture of how environmental conditions change throughout the day.
Observations at those sites will also capture littering behaviour, business waste practices, and smoking hotspots.
All data is fed into a live system to power automated alerts, a live dashboard, and mapping layers that support ongoing analysis. Anything flagged during fieldwork will be visible to both the Clean Team and BID management.
